Ravencraft's Vault Of Horror: Wishmaster

May 8, 2017, 7:30pm - May 8, 2017, 11:00pm

[Mister Tramps is a 21+ venue.] Join Saul Ravencraft and the mysterious man from the vault, Perciful Perkins, for a look at some of Saul's personal favorites in horror. This interactive event takes place in the amazing 3-screen viewing room at Mister Tramps, where there's not a bad seat in the house. Saul leads the proceedings with help from his sullen assistant. Enjoy each horrible reel with a live audience, the way they were intended to be seen. In between reels, Saul will share some of his paranormal entertainment, featuring some of his strange artifacts and "games" designed to push the boundaries and prove that there are, indeed, more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy. This month we have a treat: Wishmaster! Some people will be coming back from Texas Frightmare Weekend (including your host). Others won't make it there. We thought this was a good time for something special, and Wishmaster IS special. Andrew Divoff is delightfully weird an creepy as the djinn who grants people's wishes in a distinctly un-Disney-like way. Careful what you wish for! Mister Tramps has a fantastic food and drink menu, so come hungry. The more food and drink you buy the more they love us! We have decided to make this a no-cover event to make it available to the most people. However, we do ask you to donate what you can to help these events continue. ($5 is the price of a decent pint of beer.) [Mister Tramps is a 21+ venue.]

Theater 13 Presents: The Basement

April 17, 2017, 8:00pm - April 17, 2017, 11:00pm

We're baaaccckkk!!!!!! Theater 13 is the official movie night for Austin Horror Society. We have a new home at Kickbutt Coffee Music & Booze. We've also given our movie night a new twist. Once a month we bring you the goriest, cheesiest, sleaziest, action packed underground cult films of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. We take you deep into the dark world of cinema. You have been warned. With our first screening we bring you the 80's retro cult horror THE BASEMENT!!!!! Four strangers are summoned to the basement of a abandoned house by a mysterious entity known only as The Sentinel. One after another, they are forced to witness heinous deeds they have yet to commit - and which will damn them for all eternity. Segments include Swimming Pool- An unfaithful woman disposes of the evidence with a little help from a demonic water spirit. Trick or Treat- Classic monsters exact revenge on a bitter man who refuses to honor Halloween. Zombie Movie- Cocaine, hookers and reanimated corpses wreak havoc on the set of an independent film. Home Sweet Home - A young man questions his sanity after purchasing a house where torture and mass murder were committed 6 years before. (1989) This is a lost Super 8 film that we will be showing on VHS. So enjoy the throwback and come dressed up 80's style. 80's music will be playing before and after the movie. We'll also have a free raffle to win a horror dvd. Just our way of saying welcome back to the dark side. Themed drink specials throughout the night just for our members. After this date Theater 13 will be held the 1st Monday of every month at Kickbutt Coffee. Always free and always a party!!!!!

Ravencraft's Vault Of Horror: The Ghoul

April 10, 2017, 8:00pm - April 10, 2017, 11:00pm

In between reels, Saul will share some of his paranormal entertainment, featuring some of his strange artifacts and "games" designed to push the boundaries and prove that there are, indeed, more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy. This month's feature is The Ghoul (1933) with Boris Karloff, a genuinely creepy gem from the past about an Egyptologist (Karloff) who has himself buried in the style of the pharaohs, complete with a terrible curse! This is a little darker and edgier than some other films at the time. Mister Tramps has a fantastic food and drink menu, so come hungry. The more food and drink you buy the more they love us! We have decided to make this a no-cover event to make it available to the most people. However, we do ask you to donate what you can to help these events continue. It's already time for another round of classic--and in this case, classy--horror: Boris Karloff in The Ghoul.

Also, Percy has been taking things from the medical supplies and spending a lot of extra time in his room. There have been strange smells. Need to find up what he's up to.

Other interactive fun and maybe a little cursing of our own. The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

21 and up in the amazing 3-screen viewing room at Mister Tramps.

My schedule at Sherwood Forest Faire prevents me from making this event in April, but I'll be back in May. This is a lovely gathering of spiritual people. If you're in San Antonio do stop by. It's free to see and you might find just what you're looking for.

If you happen to be at Sherwood this weekend, come join me for the Beer Tastings and catch the shenanigans of Merlin the Wise.
